RTOS/TDA3: CSI2 RAW14 and RAW20 Capture on TDA3x

Hello,

Looking though the TRM I see that the TDA3x CSI2 pixel packer supports the following formats:

• RAW8 (8 bits per pixel)
• RAW10 (MIPI) (10 bits per pixel)
• RAW12 (linear) (12 bits per pixel)
• RAW12 (MIPI) (12 bits per pixel)
• RAW16 (16 bits per pixel)
• ARGB (32 bits per pixel)

However can I still capture RAW14 and/or RAW20 CSI2 data formats with the packer bypassed and manually unpack the data in software?

Hello Ben,

Are you going to use ISP? Because it does not support more than 16bit input see here:

RAW14 should be fine, for RAW20 you can bring it in as 2 RAW10 streams.

Just to make sure I understand, for RAW 20 I would use the pixel packer and tell it is a RAW 10, then I will have the least 10 bit is in 2 bytes, then the most significant 10 bits in another 2 bytes, then I will have to combine them in the EVE/DSP?
