AM5728: How to know the assembled AM5728 is alive when bootloader is not present

Hi,

we designed a custom board with AM5728, now we have assembled the AM5728 in our board along with PMIC.

please do suggest how to debug the AM5728 and process of verifying procedure.

How to know the AM5728 is alive or not. And what are the debugging procedures to verify it.

Hi,

it is helpful to work on EVM and not on custom board bring up.

Is there any document for AM5728 which is to similar AM335x board bring up tips.

AM335X outputs "C" when UART debug mode to show that processor is alive. Similarly It happens same in AM5728 or not, please confirm and how to know processor is alive.

No, the AM57x UART does not output "C" characters at boot time. I referred you to the EVM user guide, because you can try connecting with a JTAG and loading the GEL files. This will definitely show if the processor is OK.
