RTOS/66AK2L06: Problem with using I2C-2 in Keystone 2

I am trying to use I2C port number 2 (I2C-2) in 66AK2L06 to control a GPIO expander board. 
 
The PDK has an example for read/write to EEPROM using I2C-0 but I can't find any example that demonstrates the use of I2C-2 in Keystone 2.
 
Has anyone used this port successfully?  Are there any examples that demonstrate the use of I2C-2?
 
Any help is appreciated very much.
