Does Processor SDK UBOOT support QSPI boot?

from below Uboot user guide, seems it is not support for IDK, If yes, how to enable it?

with default configuration, can boot SPL from QSPI, but SPL probe QSPI return error as below, seems it is not probing QSPI, but SPI, so result in failure.

Hi, Tony,

I just took a look at the U-boot User's Guide. SPI/QSPI boot is not supported on AM572x.
software-dl.ti.com/.../Foundational_Components_U-Boot.html

Also, in "Compiling MLO and u-boot" section, there isn't any config file listed in SPI Flash column because it is not supported.

But it is supported on DRA7xx EVM, as we knew, they are hardware compatible, and as the SPL output to console, SPL is booted, Do you know why did not enable QSPI boot in U-boot for general part number AM57xx? it should not be difficult.

There isn't requirement for it so it has not been done and not tested either.

Tony,

Just want to update you with this. As I mentioned there isn't QSPI boot requirement for AM57x IDK, so QSPI boot is not supported on the IDK board. Once it is supported am57xx_evm_defconfig will be the correct defconfig for IDK, but in the current version, it's missing few configs related to QSPI which causes device initialization fails.

I submitted a requirement request for QSPI boot for AM57x IDK. Once approved, it will be in future release.
