Linux/AM4378: Control Module MUX MODE Definitions

I'm searching the AM437x Tech. Ref. Manual (Literature Number: SPRUHL7H, April 2014 – Revised January 2018) for a description of the Control Module MUX MODES.

Specifically, I need to know the how to configure UART2 RXD and TXD. It looks like (from searching Linux .dts files) I should use CTRL_CONF_SPI0_SCLK (0x950) and CTRL_CONF_SPI0_D0 (0x954) in MUX MODE 1. Is this correct?

Where would this be documented?

The info is mostly in the data manual, though needs a little explanation in order to fully understand.

Have a look at Table 4-10, Pin Attributes. The second column "PIN NAME" correlates with the register name from the TRM. So for example if you look at the line corresponding to Pin P23 (spi0_sclk) you will see that uart2_rxd corresponds to mux mode 1.

On a related note, I highly recommend using the PinMux Tool to help with this task:

It is a very useful tool.
