Availablity of AM1x chips

Hi,

What is the time frame in which TI will continue to produce AM1x (17x, 18x) chips? When will TI cease to produce them?

    Garry,

     

    I know production lifecycle is a very important topic in several long life applications.  The Sitara ARM MPU has adopted a  no obsolescence policy for the purpose of convenience.  What that means is, we have no plans to end of life our devices for 7+ years from their initial production date.  This could change due to something outside of our control like a new government regulation or something similar, but those are rare instances.

    If you have a need for longer than 7 years for a project, just contact us and we can work with you.

    Dear Sean,

    Where can I find the exact initial production date for  a specific ship? Newest chips are always labeled with a highlighted "New" in their "status" column in its famility's product list (like in this page), but for those currently labeled as "active", I cannot find their exact production date.
