AM5728: controlling stereo input through external button

Hai,

i am using am5728 GP evm. i am looking for a way to enable only mic input from audio input jack only when a external button is pressed and again it should switch to its default state( i.e., audio output). So, how an external button can be used(connected to device) to control the audio input in this evm ?

Hi,

The AM572x GP EVM does not have a microphone input. There are two audio jacks available: P9 is line in, and P8 is line out. You cannot switch the signal on those jacks between input and output.

thank you for the inputs.
actually my goal is to be able to speak to line in when an external button is hold(with line out volume reduced to zero in this state) and return to its previous state when button is released( with the line in disabled in this state and volume increased in line out).

From what I understand, you need to control AIC3104 audio codec Line In (pins 14 and 16) and Line out (pins 27 and 29), is that correct? And you need to control AIC3104 audio codec Line In/Out through external button?

yes, exactly. But i am not able to understand is it really possible like this. if it is not possible how can i use push button to achieve such functionality.

This question is related to AIC3104 audio codec, not to AM572x device.

I would suggest you to check AIC3104 codec documentation and driver (link below):
