Using DVTB for VP6 Video Decoder

Hi,

I am Girish, working on TI Davinci DM6446 platform.

I had a query on Digital Video Test Bench(DVTB).
TI has proven the Video decode and playback for MPEG4, H.264 and MPEG2 streams.
Now I have a VP6 (from On2 www.on2.com) decoder which is xDM compliant and I need to test the decoder from ARM side.
Do I need to modify the DVTB in order to test the VP6 decoder?

I want to know whether the DVTB is hard coded for only MPEG4, MPEG2 and H.264 algorithms or we can integrate any third party decoder to it successfully?

If not DVTB, which is the best test bench to test the VP6 decoder software from ARM side?

"xDM Compliant" is a little too vague. Specifically, which xDM interface does it implement? IVIDDEC? IVIDDEC1?

It is IVIDDEC interface..(xDM version 0.9)

DVTB is just another user level application. In the end, you have to provide the DSP server it will use (means you will need to rebuild DSP server to include VP6); also DVTB will need to know which codecs are available as it needs to open instances of those codecs. Therefore, yes, you will need to modify DVTB.
