Davinci 6467T EVM setup

I have a 6467T EVM with a TV attached to the YPbPr output and a DVD player attached to the YPbPr input. On startup, I get the demo screen on the TV and I can play the compressed video files included with the demo with the remote control. I cannot record the input from the DVD player (or see it on the screen). One thing that I noticed was that the shipping configuration for the EVM dip switches had 1,2, and 3 on and the rest off. This is different from the docs that came with the board which had 2,3, and 4 set to on. However, the shipping configuration boots to the demo screen and the doc settings do not.

DM6467T uses the NAND boot (dip switches 1,2, and 3 on), the shipping configuration you got is correct. Looks like there is a typo in the documentation.

Some one from Linux team will resond to your 1st question, regarding DVD player input.

Hello,

Are you using the demo to record from the DVD? If yes, can you please make sure that the resolution parameter passed to the demo matches that of the DVD?

Can you also post the error messages and logs?

Hello Sekhar,

Thanks for your help. We are actually just trying to get the stand alone demo to work, without connection to a host. We are using a dvd player with a dvd as the video source. After powering on the EVM, I select encode/decode and play. The device does attempt something but we never seen the movie displayed on the screen.

Sekhar,

we are having problems locating a 720p source. I want to try to change the demos to accept the lower definitation. Do you have a recommendation for where to start?
