in my board, I'm connecting two DDR3L to Sitara AM5716. I have an issue with the selection of the DDR3L: CAS latency.
Micron MT41K256M16HA-125 is obsolete, and MT41K256M16TW-107:P has a CL=13.
From the Reference Manual (Table 15.131 -EMIF_SDRAM_CONFIG) bit 13:10 define the CL: Values of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 (CAS latency of 5, 6,7, 8, 9, 10 and 11) are supported for DDR3.
Which type of DDR3L can I use?
One more question about microSD connection to Sitara. I selected a memory card connector with 8 pins and I connected it to Sitara as picture below:
How do I have to connect MMC1_SDCD (W7) pin? During boot, it not necessary (from Reference Manual note: The ROM code does not handle the card detection feature on the card cage.) but in all other cases?
