RTOS/AM5728: Boot up issue and matrix GUI support

Can someone please help me to solve this boot up issue.I am using AM5728 EVM and RTOS process SDK 5_00_00_15.

I have followed instructions in this link to boot from SD

linux SD Card Creation Guide in .

Jahnavi,

I am trying to understand the question based on your description. From your log, it appears that the out of box demo of image processing demo did boot up from the SD card so what is the boot issue that you are trying to debug?

Matrix GUI and QT is the out of box experience for Processor SDK Linux and these components are not provided with RTOS SDK.

Thanks for reply, I am trying to boot EVM using prebuilt images (APP and MLO) from processor RTOS SDK I was not able to succeed. I was expecting for the Matrix UI launcher for user intervention.

If Matrix UI is not available in RTOS then how could I develop my QT application please guide me.

Is there any possibility to make use of both RTOS and Linux SDK for the application development if so please guide me with any reference.

Jahanavi,

I am not very clear on your usecase here. What application are you trying to build ? What are your OS requirements? Are you intending to use RTOS as your application has real time processing requirements or needs low interrupt latency and small foot print.

Processor SDK provides support for QT with Linux RT (Linux with real time microkernel), is this an viable option for your given your application has graphics/QT and real time requirement. IF Linux RT is not a viable option for your application and you need to use TI RTOS then we also provide a feature called jailhouse which supports Linux on A15 cores running TI RTOS on A15 core 1 as a guest OS.

You need to evaluate what works best for your application so that we can provide guidance accordingly. I providing you links that may be able to help you research based on existing material
