hi,

i have some questions about using ethercat and how to run it as a master and salve with TI processors.

i saw some processors datasheet like AM3357/9 and AM4377/9 and really like to start with them and handle ethercat slave and master.

the question is :

"is there a complete hardware and software protection to run a ethercat slave and master on TI products like AM3357/9 or AM4377/9?"

if yes, how can i choose one of them?

and finally is there a complete evaluation board for running ethercat slave and master with this product?

Hi, you could start with ICEv2 board

You can download PRU-ICSS EtherCAT slave. PRU-ICSS EtherCAT slave runs on top of TI-RTOS PSDK

About the master, there is a TI desing that shows acontis EC-Master running on ICEv2 board. This TI design is a little bit out date it, but the main concept and steps still apply. You can download latest EC-Master (which also runs on top of Linux or TI-RTOS PSDK) at

Or if you just need a master, to test the slave, you can use a PC one such as TwinCAT
