from customer:

Is it possible to supply AM437x with the old TPS650250?

What considerations must the customer take if they want to use this device?

Customer designed already TPS650250 with AM3x and they would not like to make so many changes in the supply architecture when changing to AM437.

    The TI recommended PMIC for AM437x is TPS65218. We don't have any reference design that we can support AM437x with the TPS650250.

    The key considerations if customer is planning to re-use the TPS650250 are the following:
    1. Power mapping for each rail of the processor to meet the load current requirements
    2. Meet all the power-up sequencing requirements including power-down.
    3. Any other system level load current/sequencing considerations. TPS650250 does not have an internal sequencer so should be designed externally
    meeting the system requirements
