Linux/OMAP3530: DSP Support

Part Number: OMAP3530
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DM3730

Tool/software: Linux

Hi,

We currently have a DM3730 board with a flavor of Linux installed that supports that board. While seeking advice one how to offload compiled code onto the DSP we were informed that the Linux kernel has been stripped of its hooks necessary to pass data between the ARM and DSP sometime between 3.0 and 4.4. I'm looking at other boards now, this one in particular (but other possibilities), to see if there are other viable options that have support for communication to the DSP. Can someone confirm that they are able to offload to the DSP on this board in a Linux environment. And if so, can you provide advice on how to do the DSP offloading?

Thanks,

-Craig
