TCI6638K2K: Failure in Security Accelerator

Hi Team,

My customer has the following issue:

(PDK Version is 4_0_8. Some cards Silicon Version are 2.0 and others SV are 3.0)

Problem 1:

We use TCI6638K2K on our baseband card for LTE Layer2 Packet Processing. We use TCI6638K2K Security Accelerator for Key Generation in data-mode configuration and PDCP Air Ciphering in 3GPP Air Ciphering configuration.

Sometimes, SA HW Hangs and it stops dequeuing packets. We tried to reset PDSPs and redownload image but it didn’t work.

Problem2:

Again on baseband card sometimes SA HW begins to produce incorrect outputs. When SA entered that state, we logged inputs and outputs for Authentication Channels. We observed that calculated MAC-I’s were false. For several security channels, we observed that message itself changed at the output of SA even for Authentication Channels.

Again we tried to reset PDSPs and redownload image but it didn’t work.

Problem3:

We use 66AK2E05 on our transport card for LTE Backhaul Traffic termination. We use 66AK2E05 Security Accelerator for IPsec traffic processing and IKE Protocol processing.

Sometimes, SA HW Hangs and it stops dequeuing packets. We tried to reset PDSPs and redownload image but it didn’t work.
