I understand all of the Linux stuff, but I’m not sure if I know enough about the DSP side (BIOS) to make an xDM compliant package

There are various ways by which TI helps their customers get the information they need.

1) The website trainnig.ti.com contains general information of workshops offered by TI as well as free pre-recorded presentations on a variety of topics.  Three popular workshops for customers new to DSP are DSP/BIOS workshop, DSP System Integration workshop and DSP Optimization workshop.

2) We also provide wiki sites thru which customers can get information on the latest developments on specific topics

   - http://tiexpressdsp.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page   (tools oriented: CCS, XDM, BIOS, codecs)

   - http://wiki.davincidsp.com/index.php?title=Main_Page  (general DaVinci information)

3) Finally, you can ask questions via this community forum or submit a ticket to technical support via http://www-k.ext.ti.com/sc/technical-support/email-tech-support.asp?DSP

TIers at various levels of the organization actively monitor and contribute information thru the channels described above.
