Linux/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X: SPI Master Slave Configuration

We've a custom board based on AM335x-EVM-SK. Please find the interface diagram of our custom board. We are using ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-05.00.00.15.

As of now we are configuring FPGA manually independent of the processor. Now we want to configure fpga automatically from processor using spi interface after processor boots up.

Please somebody help me to solve this.

Hello,

Please provide more specifics on the questions that you have. We are happy to help with specific questions, but we can't guide you on how to do your design. There are many SPI examples, some already on your board, and the FPGA should not be too different from a low-level SPI perspective, which is all we support. The protocol and how you bring the FPGA up is specific to your design and your responsibility to implement.

Using spidev within Linux to get familiar with a user space interface might be a good way for you to get started.

We'll keep some script in spi flash. Processor should take that script from flash and sends it to FPGA. How to do it?

You'll need to write a SPI driver or use spidev:

www.kernel.org/.../spidev
