Hello,

Please refer the below:

This is the VIP guide:

I would recommend you to check vip.c under ti-vpe folder.
BT1120 capture is not supported by the linux driver.
In the vip guide there is debugging chapter.
I ' ll get back to you when I have more information.

Hi,

BT.1120 is not supported by the linux driver. Is it possible for you to use discrete sync mode for 1080p60 capture?

In dts hsync-active/vsync-active must be set for descrete sync. VIP can capture data in 8, 16 or 24 bus-width size. In this case bus-width must be set in dts file.

Hi,

This feature was added to bring in 16 bit RAW data in discrete sync mode. With this feature you can bring in any 16 bit data using VIP inside AM57x, with the catch that you can't do any on the fly processing on the captured data like scaling, color format conversion etc inside VIP.

Hi Manisha, Margarita, I'm also interested in 16-bit input via VIP. In software-dl.ti.com/.../Foundational_Components_Kernel_Drivers.html it says:

"The data bus width can be 8 bit or 16 bit wide when capturing in UYVY mode."

In the 16-bit option, which fields are in bits 7:0 and which in 15:8? And is this configurable? Also, if 16-bit UYVY is used, can the output of the VIP be connected to the VPE, as all its input formats seem to be only 8 bits wide?
