Hi all,

I'm using TDA2PX platform and visionSDK 3.5 version.

I want output display resolution to be of 640X480 . Current display resolution is 1920X1080.

What changes needed to be done to get display resolution of 640X480 for TDA2PX platform?

Hi,

You can change the tarWidth and tarHeight in the set display link parameters API to change the output resolution.
What is the use case you are running?

Hi Megha,

could you please tell if you want to change display resolution or pipeline resolution? For changing pipeline resolution, you need to just change target and input size as Rishabh mentioned. For changing display resolution, there are few steps that needs to followed. Please tell your requirement.

Hi Brijesh,

I want to change display resolution means I want output of display link to be of 640X480 resolution.

By changing tarWidth and tarHeight, I got output only in first 640X480 region and rest frame is black. I'm attaching screenshot of what i got after changing tarWidth and tarHeight. I want output frame to be displayed on full screen.

What changes I need to do in order to change display resolution ?

Hi Deepika,

But what is your display device? Is it some LCD with 640x480 resolution that you would like to connect to TDA?

I have HDMI display with 1920X1080 @60 FPS at output for display purpose.

It seems there are some changes required in the driver for VGA resolution. Let me check and get back to you with the required changes.

The first change required in the driver

Add VGA resolution in the API VpsHal_hdmiGetTiming in the file ti_components\drivers\pdk_01_08_01_00\packages\ti\drv\vps\src\vpslib\hal\src\vpshal_dssHdmi.c, as shown below.

case FVID2_STD_VGA:
idx = 0U;
break;

In Vision SDK
Add displayType CHAINS_DISPLAY_TYPE_HDMI_VGA and then update the file vision_sdk\apps\src\rtos\usecases\common\chains_common.c for the new VGA resolution. You could use CHAINS_DISPLAY_TYPE_HDMI_720P display type as example/reference and add changes for VGA resolution.
