Hi All,

I am using TI SDK 3.05 and my reference board is TDA2PX EVM

We have a requirement from the customer that we need to use the CVBS output from 4 cameras and fed the camera output to a decoder. The decoder processes the data and send YUV data in 4 CSI2 data lane.Can anyone please explain me if this is feasible?

If this is feasible can anyone please explain the pipeline,how to proceed further.

Hi Deepika,

Well, it is feasible, but with support from external devices. You required external decoder device, which can convert CVBS to BT656, like TVP5146/50. So you could receive four channels, process them and send them out of TDA2Px, through DSS. DSS can either output HDMI and/or Digital Parallel data. You need external device to convert from parallel to CSI..

So I need to create module to write its registers and send its output to CAL. Right?
Can I use any available links for the same?

I did not get it. Are you asking about SW or HW?
On the EVM, currently, there is no support for decoder to get CVBS output.

I am talking about SW. I know presently there is no support in TDA2PXEVM. Our target board will take another month to reach us.Just wanted to ask how should I approach this.

Hi Deepika,

The current CAL driver/links will be able able to capture as long as sender follows standard CSI protocol.
Also please note there is no support for interlaced input.
