Long delays in DMVAIPNC-MT5 streaming

What codec and resolution are you streaming from the IPNC? What tool are you using to decode the streamed video?

I have tried all the resolutions (e.g. H.264 720p). I am accessing the camera with its web application on a PC. So I am using the default configurations and didn't change anything. With the same configuration, it works fine on my laptop (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.20 GHz, NVIDIA QUADRO 140 GPU). But on ZOTAC IONITX computing platform (Intel ATOM 1.6 GHz, NVIDIA ION GPU), I am facing this problem. The delay is really very long.

Unfortunately I don't have any idea why you could be seeing a delay with 720P H.264 in the GUI.  It sounds like your Atom/Ion PC has problems with the ActiveX component that decodes the video in the GUI.  Do you see the same latency if you use VLC to decode the RTSP stream?

Yes. The same latency is present in VLC player also. 

I've never seen the RTSP stream be delayed before.  Unfortunately I can't explain what could be causing this.  My only guess is that it is somehow related to your computer.  I've only used the IPNC with faster processors such as 2+ GHz Core2Duo machines.  I'm not sure how well that Atom can handle a high definition H.264 stream.

Can you put it to 1x display from live video GUI. This button is available at top menu.

This will ensure that there is no resize happening at PC side. This will give you  some performance improvement in PC side.

Yes. putting the camera to 1x display gives performance improvement. But what is the reason? Why it is not streaming well with default size. This is the case with H.264 720p display, not to speak of h.264 1080p. 

Reason for this in normal viewing there is a resize happening on PC to adjust to your monitor resolution.

IN 1X mode, this resize is removed and you dont see this delay in PC decoding.
