MSP430P315, which pin is the TEST pin?

I want to do In System Programming of a MSP430P315 (strangely it is not in your list of devices) with Launchpad.

I don't know which is he TEST pin in order to connect it to TEST pin of Launchpad. (I suppose it 's one of the first 4)

(RESET pin is number 5, RST/NMI, right?)

So, could you tell me which is the TEST pin on MSP430P315?

  • Hello Panoss,

This particular part doesn't have a TEST pin and thus doesn't need it connected in order to program. Please see "Figure 2-1. Signal Connections for 4-Wire JTAG Communication " in the MSP Hardware User Guide (http://www.ti.com/lit/slau278 ), specifically NOTE C, for more information.

This also means this particular device does not support 2-wire SPI-By-Wire programming mode which is what the Launchpad uses to program devices. please check the datasheet and user guide for this part for supported programming interfaces.
