how to add aac codec to dvdsdk for dm365

we are working on putting together a wiki article to describe the process of integrating AAC codec.  I have not done this myself yet, but the feedback is that part of the process is documented on Ittiam Codec Installation Guide v3.0 doc included with the audio codec bundle + a few other minor steps which will be documented on wiki article coming soon. 

Please put out a posting when the wiki is ready.

Dear all,

I have porting the AAC audio CODEC to DM365 IPNC platform successful,

The demo application aaclc_enc_app.x470MV in dm365_audio_codec_package/aaclc_enc_2_8_00_production_dm365_mvl  is run well on the DM365,

This demo application open a wav file and transcode to AAC file, the default  audio sampling rate of WAV source file is 44.1k,

but the AAC CODEC will  return fail during AUDENC1_create() if  the source file sampling rate is 8k.

I check the specification in the package (IA-AACLC-Enc-ARM9E-DS.PDF), 8k sampling rate isn't over specification. 

Do you know how happen is it?

I am working with our internal teams on this; we have are currently testing the procedure before publishing it externally.  The feedback I have received is that we are aiming to have something this week....

Thanks fro bringing out the wiki. I have found some  problems with the aac encoder application

1. In aenc1.c function Aenc1_create fails. I tracked this down to the fact that the ittiam codec doesn't support XDM_SETPARAMS.I commented out the lines that call this function i.e. 187->194 rebild the dvsdk and I can now create a codec and run the application.

2. The codec and the sound device cannot run at 41000 Hz. The application hangs I changed the default sample rate in main.c to 16000Hz the application runs and encodeds data.

3. When I play the encoded file  in mplayer sounds sound higher than they really are and I get lots of errors about FADS syncwords.

Any ideas?
