Application differences between AM574X series and AM572X series?

Please give me some introduction and relevant materials, thank you

  • Hi,
First of all, thank you for your reply!
But I want to ask is the difference between the two series IC in practical application and the definition of different products
  • Hi Jim

Good question - As Biser pointed out the with the application note, that both of these devices belong with Sitara AM57x family that allow scalable solutions with several devices in the family that can enable customers to have pin compatible designs.

The high level differences between AM574x and AM572x as of now are

    1) Better ECC support with

    • Full ECC support on DDR memory - On AM572x the silicon adivisory i922 limits the usability
    • C66x L1D has ECC support ( AM572x does not)

    2) Supports  Secure Boot  that is relatively easier to pursue  by customers without needing to contact TI directly compared to AM572x , some details in the following white paper

    3) AM5749 specifically support the most robust offering for deep learning with TI-DL support in SDK enabled by EVE processors

This is specifically of interest to several PLC/CNC/Robotics/Building Automation customers.

    Hope this helps.
