Linux/AM4376: About I2C timing issue

Hi Sir

Based on the latest version I2C-BUS spec. Tf need to be more than 20*(Vdd/5.5V) when clk freq is more than 100kHz(e.g. Fast-mode). But I2C fall time of AM4376 is very short, about 1ns.

When AM4376 I2C BUS connects with other I2C-bus slave devices, is it necessary to make the fall time of I2C-bus meets the requirements of the slave devices. And if yes, how to achieve it ?

Hi Yimin,

I have very less knowledge on hardware. But I am sure this cannot be addressed in software. It needs to be addressed in hardware.

Hi,

Those are the timings that the I2C controller of the device supports. You need to design your schematic in such a manner that it meets the AM437x I2C timings.
