Hello,

I would like to run Demo : TIDEP-0101 using TS5668N20 As attached document.ourdev_609525UL3FP9.pdf

1.Is this encoder possible to communicate with TIDEP-0101?

2.When using TS5668N20, what kind of place of software needs to be modified?

Hi,

Looking at the Specification document that you shared, the physical interface looks the same as the one used in the TI Design (TIDEP-0101): 2.5Mbps differential serial data that can be routed through an RS485 transceiver to the PRU UART.

The Data ID's supported in the Tamagawa Diagnostic example (software-dl.ti.com/.../PRU_ICSS_Industrial_Drives.html also seem to match the Data ID's mention in the specification you shared. The Industrial Drives package that contains the source code for the Tamagawa Diagnostic can be found here: software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

One thing to note, which is pointed out in the TI Design Guide, is that the firmware does not currently handle EEPROM commands.
