Emergency:RTC is reset when system reboots in DM365

Hi ,all kind and handsome men,

I want to let my RTC works normally in DM365.

But when the system reboots,the RTC is reset and I can't save the time I set last time.

The startup log is as follows:

Time: timer0_1 clocksource has been installed.

Clock event device timer0_0 configured with caps set: 08

Switched to high resolution mode on CPU 0

rtc_davinci_dm365 rtc_davinci_dm365.0: setting the system clock to 2000-01-01 00:00:00 (946684800)

And I am sure that I compile the RTC into the kernel .

But I don;t know why it always rewrite the time.

My LSP version is psp_02_10_00_14

By default, the EVM is missing the battery required to maintain the time accross boot cycles. There should be a round battery holder on EVM that is empty, you need to buy a battery.

OK. I am sure that I have insert round battery into BHT1.

But it always reset time to 2000-01-01 00:00:00 (946684800).

ok, looks like the following mods are needed if you have a Rev C EVM.

Removed R462
Removed R486
Removed R466
Removed R494
Increased R497 to 100k.
Short JP2 jumper
Short J28 jumper

These changes are not required if you have a Rev D or Rev E EVM.

Ok, some more information I came accross below.

From a hardware perspective, this was tested with Rev C EVM and the hardware changes suggested above (repeated below) were found to be required.

Removed R462
Removed R486
Removed R466
Removed R494
Increased R497 to 100k.
Short JP2 jumper
Short J28 jumper

I believe Spectrum Digital who manufactures our boards were made aware of the changes and depending of the time-frame in which they received the feedback, they may or may not have fixed this in Rev D or E EVMs...safest way to proceed is to check if these chages have been made on your EVMs.

That said, from a software point of view, at the time we released the latest DM365 DVSDK, our software team did not have all the information necessary to incorporate the correct RTC support; therefore our current Linux LSP does not support RTC; future LSPs which are bing co-developed with Ridge-Run (onw of our third parties) should have RTC support. I am seeing if we can pull more detailed information into a wiki article, but just thought I would share what I know thus far.

I purchase it from SPECTRUM IGITAG.

And I never change any hardware.

Maybe the LSP doesn't support RTC as its drive in LSP has some problems.

Am facing the problem in RTC its not picking the time because its not resetting properly, could you help on this ? its Kind urgent work.(I have attached the booting sequence also file from Uboot6332.CAPTURE Dhruv1r0 01_12_2010.TXT)
