DM355 video rotation

Dear TI supporter

I have a question about DM355 solution, Is there a way to do like below

1.rotate video window(90/180/270 degree)

2.convert video window's left side to right side just like a mirror(not convert top to button, just convert left to right) if it is possible, how can solute it in Linux?

there is no dedicated hardware to do rotate or flip (mirror) functions, but this can all be implemented in software with the help of the DMA engine.

thank you for your advise.

I checked the document spruf71a.pdf, and I found that there is a image flipping function(vertically and/or horizontally).

is it same way as your advise?

IPIPE can make mirroring.

I made rotation on +-90 degrees with EDMA.

you guys are right, looks like flipping (a.k.a mirroring) support is available in IPIPE hardware

For 180 degrees rotation you can flip image vertically and horizontally using IPIPE.

For +-90 rotation use EDMA: acnt is size of yuv block, bcnt - blocks in line, ccnt - lines in frame. for rotation need to change increments on destination. Pay attention: you will lose quality on +-90 rotation because of atomic yuv blocks.

I have met the same question. the video and osd i have to rotate 90 to display them at a TFT screen at the same time ! we use the QT3.3.8 for GUI,

It is huge and complicated libiary ,and it's difficult to modify the source!

who can help me ?

Can the Rszcopy methods (the dvsdk included) do this?
