AM6548: AM6548 Mechanical Dimensions

Hello,

I have been looking into your AM6548 device and have noticed that the mechanical dimensions for the part are not on the datasheet for the device (the page is blank). I see that the package is a 784-pin CSBGA with package code ACD, but have been unable to find this package on your website.

I have found a similar package with cage code CYE that is also a 23x23 mm 784-pin CSBGA. Are there any notable differences between the two packages or should I design with respect to the CYE cage code?

Tony,
The mechanical specs are published normally when we release the device to production. But I understand you need to take it in consideration for your design.
It is max 23.1 x 23.1 x 1.63 mm)

Obviously the pitch will be the same (0.8mm). I would expect that the nominal ball diameter would be the same as well (0.45/0.55mm). If you can confirm this, I will plan on moving forward based on the CYE footprint and keep an eye out for differences once this IC reaches production. When is the anticipated production date?

Pitch, yes, 0.8mm and ball diameter 0.4mm...
