Linux: AM335x Can't Boot

Tool/software: Linux

My board is AM335x Starter Kit

SDK Version:ti-processor-sdk-linux-rt-am335x-evm-05.01.00.11-Linux-x86-Install

Hi,

My AM335x Starter Kit is booted from an SD card. There are a lot of buttons on this board. One of them is the WarmRST button. Today I pressed this button (perhaps some other button, I am not sure), then the board is not reacted. Even if the board is powered back on, nothing happens, and the serial port has no output.

What could be the cause of this problem? Will it change the boot order mode in a certain process? Still some other reasons?

Thank You,

Hefa

  • Hi Hefa,

On the AM335x Starter Kit EVM, there is no easy way to control the boot device list, as the SYSBOOT pins are at fixed voltages where:

    SYSBOOT[15:0] = 010000000000110111b

The linked below Boot process  wiki could be useful:

but I suspect some hardware issue. I only can guess WarmRST button may stay in down state - check it or the problem could be more serious.

    Regards,
