Hello If I look at various application documents of the AMIC110, it is noticeable that this chip is always used only as a communication chip,
the actual application then runs on a second processor (for example in connection with a C2000). From my point of view, the Cortex A9 should be powerful enough to run the complete EtherCat slave stack.
My question: Can you use the AMIC110 as a stand-alone microcontroller, which also houses an application in addition to an EtherCat slave?
Trigonometric functions are needed in these applications, so I've been using a DSP from TI so far. What would speak against a stand-alone AMIC solution, in your view?
Best regards
