AM4376: 32 bit single chip ddr3 compatibility

Part Number: AM4376

Hello,

I have a project using a AM4376 processor (AM4376BZDND80S). Is it possible to connect it to a single chip 32-bit DDR3 Ram chip? I havn't found that configuration in the datasheet of the processor.

I will suggest using a MT52L256M32D1PF-107 from Micrel.

Link to the datasheet:

Thanks!

  • Franz,

The JEDEC DDR3 specification does not define a 32-bit wide variant.  The data sheet you referenced is LPDDR3 which is a different technology and cannot be used with AM437x.  The AM437x is compatible with LPDDR2 and DDR3 (as well as DDR3L).  It does not support LPDDR3, LPDDR4, or DDR4.

    Best regards,
    Brad
