where is the DM365 IPNC filesys

I am not too familiar with DM365 IP camera software, but maybe they included the small 12 M cramfs file system becuase their goal is to provide small file-system, maybe they even have hardware limitations that prevent larger file-systems when running stand-alone.  Anyway, this may not help, but just a few things to consider.  You can always put your own file-system together

$ mkdir /mnt/rootfs

$ mount -o loop cramfs.image /mnt/rootfs

$ cp -rf /mnt/rootfs where_to_backup

you can modify the backup rootfs and use mkfs.crame to create your crams.image

mkfs.cramfs where_to_backup/rootfs my.cramfs.image

Do you  mean DM365IPNC-MT5'software packages contains a filesystems? I also got a DM365IPNC-MT5 from seeddsp, but the only software is a disk whit the ccs setup file.

As Person Lin explained, the cramfs image that comes with Appro IPNC Ref Design, can be mounted on a filesystem and then you can use this filesystem as NFS or modify it for your usage.

The cramfs image should be available on Appro FTP folder, incase it did not come with your installation disc.

The idea of using cramfs is to reduce filesystem size and hence improve the bootup time. Also, we wanted to utilize less NAND space for filesystem.

Have you checked in your filesystem exported over NFS, whether cmemk.ko exist in it or not? It should be present in <root_filesys folder>/opt/ipnc/.

Can you also share all the contents of your /opt/ipnc folder?

Can you provide the complete bootup log seen on serial terminal?

yes cmemk.ko is present in the ipnc directory. I am attaching here the log and ipnc folder.

My nfs server and development machine are two different machine. Whether it will effect?

Dear Sonali,

You need to check following things on your setup:

1. Login as root and try to browse to (cd) /opt/ipnc on your DM365 camera

2. Check if you see cmemk.ko, edmak.ko and other modules

3. If you see them, you try running loadmodules_ipnc.sh

4. try running "autorun.sh"

5. Check the permissions of the files in the /opt/ipnc folder

Let me know the results. BTW, i assume you did mounting and untarring the files using root access on your NFS machine.

I did the 1-5 steps but still facing same error. Yes all mounting and untarring is done with root.

Is there any problem of having different machines for NFS server and development.

Does this mean that you can see cmem.ko and edmak.ko in /opt/ipnc on your DM365 IP camera? Did you run autorun.sh? Can you please put the logs with autorun.sh?

Till the time your NFS server is exporting the complete filesystem that the IP camera needs, it does not matter that you are using different machines for development and NFS server.

Yes I can see cmemk.ko and edmak.ko files in /opt/ipnc folder. Also I checked with lsmod, I see the cmemk and edmak inserted.

Also I had run autorun.sh. I am attaching logs here.

I have the same problem with appro ipnc 2.0 (until now i have used 1.5 without any problem)
