TDA3: optimize reset circuit for TDA3

Dear Champs,

My customer is designing TDA3 HW and want to know how reset circuit of EVM can be optimized.

They want to use only 1 TPS3808G09DBVRG4 by removing one in the TDA3 EVM in below.

Is there any way to implement reset circuit using one TPS3808G09DBVRG4 in TDA3?

Hi Sung-IL,

The TDA3 Data manual does not specify a specific timing for PORz vs. RESETn release, therefore it should be possible to short-circuit PORz and RESETn (via 0 ohm) and use only one reset supervisor. The warm reset push-button will not be available in that case.

Of course with some CMOS gates you could make warm reset possible. Not only by push-button, but also by external devices that may need to reset TDA3.
