Linux/AM5716: PRM: I/O chain clock line assertion timed out

Hello TI,

I have a custom board based on AM5716, during kernel boot I see log messages  (version 4.4.41+), with following error

PRM: I/O chain clock line assertion timed out

PRM: I/O chain clock line assertion timed out

What could be the reason for these prints?  Please give some pointers to debug this.

    Vamshi,

    Your Linux kernel is beyond our support window. For AM57x, I would recommend moving to a more recent kernel.

    I've not seen this issue on a TI board.

    The print comes from arch/arm/mach-omap2/prm44xx.c. Please take a look at that file and see if that provides some context that relates to your board.
