https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors/f/791/t/659785 when the copying completed, I find the rootfs directory is only the .img file,and I set the boot env。it print can`t find the uEnv.txt and /boot/zImage. how to do next?

No. Use this command. xzcat bone-debian-9.5-lxqt-armhf-2018-10-07-4gb.img.xz | sudo dd of=/dev/sdX. Replace the X with your SD card's node.

the dd command is success,but can`t make the directory such as /usr /bin /boot /lib and so on.

Write the image to /bin/sdb not to /bin/sdb2.

I want to use the file system is debian and the kernel use to the PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-RT-AM335X 05_02_00_10.Please guide me exact steps to port Debain on bbblack。in this link e2e.ti.com/.../659785. I can`t understand this step:choose to reuse kernel image and device tree files found in the selected rootfs, for the rootfs pass the mounted bone-debian-9.1-lxqt-armhf-2017-08-31-4gb.img partition (generaly /media/<username>/rootfs since Ubuntu 16.04) as the show of the first picture in this thread

First use this command xzcat bone-debian-9.5-lxqt-armhf-2018-10-07-4gb.img.xz | sudo dd of=/dev/sdb and create SD card, later replace the kernel, dtb and /lib/modules in your SD card with these ones from PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-RT-AM335X 05_02_00_10. Most of the components and GUI will probably not work, but at least you will find out what difficulties awaits you.

I can`t find where the kernel in the /boot.I change this file vmlinuz-4.14.71-ti-r80 and change the u_name in uEnv.txt。I change the am335x_boneblack.dtb in /boot/dtbs/4.14.71-ti-r80 ,and it can`t work.

Check some of these BBB community forums. I am not sure how the bone-debian-9.5-lxqt-armhf-2018-10-07-4gb.img.xz is structured and how the OS loading flow goes. We work only with Processor SDK Linux here in this forum.

I had another issue,I using ti-processor-sdk-linux-rt-am335x-evm-03.02.00.05-Linux-x86-Install now. But the touchscreen sometimes is exact,sometimes is offset.

You can run the Debian with ti-processor-sdk-linux-rt-am335x-evm-03.02.00.05-Linux-x86-Install kernel in this way.

Create a Debian SD card with dd command and copy the ti-processor-sdk-linux-rt-am335x-evm-03.02.00.05/board-support/prebuilt-images/zImage-am335x-evm.bin and ti-processor-sdk-linux-rt-am335x-evm-03.02.00.05/board-support/prebuilt-images/am335x-boneblack.dtb to your SD card's /boot/ partition.

Put the SD card to the BBB and enter these commands in U-Boot.

=> setenv devtype mmc
=> setenv bootpart 0:1
=> run args_mmc
=> ext4load mmc 0:1 0x82000000 /boot/zImage-am335x-evm.bin
=> ext4load mmc 0:1 0x88000000 /boot/am335x-boneblack.dtb
=> bootz 0x82000000 - 0x88000000

And your BBB will work with ti-processor-sdk-linux-rt-am335x-evm-03.02.00.05 kernel.

debian@beaglebone:~$ uname -r
4.4.32-rt41-ge26c84b0ac

Enter these two commands in U-Boot console, if you want to permanently start your board with the 4.4.32-rt41-ge26c84b0ac zImage.

=> setenv bootcmd 'setenv devtype mmc; setenv bootpart 0:1; run args_mmc; ext4load mmc 0:1 0x82000000 /boot/zImage-am335x-evm.bin; ext4load mmc 0:1 0x88000000 /boot/am335x-boneblack.dtb; bootz 0x82000000 - 0x88000000'
=> saveenv
