Hi,
My customer is planing to use eHRPWM modules with High Resolution mode. They need 2 high resolution PWM ports so they would use 2 eHRPWM instances in sync to create the actual PWM waveform on A side each (OMAP-L138 only supports high resolution mode for EPWMxA pins). Now the question from them is , what is the min/typ/max MEP value in high resolution mode ? I searched the datasheet, but i could not file the related specification. Also, i checked TRM, it says:
17.2.10.2 Architecture of the High-Resolution PWM Submodule mentions:
The time step accuracy is on the order of 150 ps
On the other hand, 17.2.10.5 Operational Highlights for the High-Resolution PWM Submodule mentions:
MEP steps applied = TSYSCLKOUT/180 ps in this example.
And 17.2.10.5.1 Edge Positioning and 17.2.10.5.2 Scaling Considerations mentions:
Assumed MEP step size for the above example = 180 ps
...Very confusing. Which value is really correct value ?
Best Regards,
NK
