How much time (minutes, hours) does the connection get dropped? "periodically disrupted" - do you mean the connection can also auto-recovered without intervention?

What does the log from PLC look like when the connection is dropped?

Can you try to capture the Ethernet trace with wireshark?

It can auto-recover without any intervention.

Attached is the whole communication frames file from Whiershark. Please change the file suffix from .txt to .pcapng.

As you can see from the wireshark capture, the incorrect/malformed packets are from the Siemens PLC, would it be possible to switch to another PLC, e.g. S7-1500 for the testing?

I think the S7-1200 is OK.Because the PROFINET demo based on am335x_sysbios_ind_sdk_01.01.01.01 has no this problem.I don't have S7-1500 now.

This is my device module configuration.

Does your PLC also work with the pre-built binary on AM335x IDK?

Was there PLC frame check sequence error with the old am335x_sysbios_ind_sdk_01.01.01.01? The PLC frame check sequence error may just not be triggered with the old am335x_sysbios_ind_sdk_01.01.01.01 and caused the link break?
