Hello,

I would like to perform beamforming operations on a DSP which takes its input from an ADC. I have two questions related to this: First, should I prefer the EVMK2XG evaluation modules or just a DSP from the 66AK2GX family? Second, is such an ADC-DSP interfacing possible without using a PC considering that ADS8588S supports Parallel, Parallel byte and SPI serial interfaces?

At the end of the page. there is a Voice Processing Training for K2G: training.ti.com/voice-processing-tools-and-software-k2g-and-c5517-designs . In this link you will see the hw needed to do beamforming.

About your question

should I prefer the EVMK2XG evaluation modules or just a DSP from the 66AK2GX family?

You could use either, just have in mind that if you order just 66AK2Gx SoC you will need to design a board yourself, which is quite time consuming. This is the reason I'd recommend using the EVM.
