TDA3XEVM: Enabling Traffic sign recognition in fast boot usecase

Hi,

From the VSDK, fast boot usecase is used only for the pedestrian detection.

I had tried enabling the vehicle,traffic sign detection in chains_fastBoot_issIspSimcop_pd_Display_SetObjectDetectPrm function but the algorithm is not detecting.

May I know what are the changes to be done for acheving VD,TSR?

Hi Anil,

in TDA3 Userguide for fast boot usecase in order to use PD, TSR there is a following note: "Important Note: Ensure IPU1_1 image is not a part of the application image when trying these two options.".
Did you checked that?

I haven't enabled ipu1_1 in the fastboot usecase build.I tried enabling vehicle detection and TSR in the fast boot usecase but only VD works.

I would like to know how to enable TSR in fastboot usecase.

Hi Anil,

What CPUs do you need for TSR? Have you enabled them in the custom use case?
Fast boot is a specific use case that performs OD.
Any particular reason you are trying to integrate other algorithms to it?

Similar to the vip_single_cam_object_detection2 usecase,I need TSR,VD and PD on fast boot use case to run by taking the input from ov10640 camera.

Pls help me to solve this.

Hi Anil,

This still does not answer why you need all these algorithms in fast boot case.
Also you want to replace HDMI input with camera input in vip_single_cam_object_detection2 use case or you have some boot time requirements that you want to meet.

I do not want to replace HDMI input with camera in vip_single_cam_object_detection2.I need similar kind of output from fast boot usecase as vip_single_cam_object_detection2.

Did you update the use case text file and regenerate the fast boot use case?
If not you need to first do this.

Object detection is already enabled in text file.May I know what needs to be updated in the usecase txt file for TSR detection?

Hi Anil,

As a first can you try changing enableTSR to TRUE and see if it works.
Also I am still not clear why you need to modify fast boot use case to give the same output is given by vip_single_cam_object_detection2.
You can use vip_single_cam_object_detection2 directly.

Hi Rishabh,

I tried enabling TSR to true but it is not working.

For vip_single_cam_object_detection2 usecase,hdmi input needs to be given.I'm using ov10640 serial camera because of this I'm trying to add the other functionalities to the fast boot usecase.

Hi Anil,

If you can tell what is your objective it will be helpful.
Previously you said you don't want to replace HDMI with live camera feed but now you are saying that you want to add OD functionality to fast boot as you want to use OV10640.

Hi Rishabh,

I just want to be clear that in the given usecases we have only vip_single_cam_object_detection2 which detects PD,VD,TSR and has HDMI as input.

I'm working on my hardware where there is no hdmi input.It has csi interface for camera.Due to this I'm running fastboot usecase on my hardware.

In the fast boot usecase we are not having functionality of TSR,for this reason I would like to know how to implement.

Hi Anil,

For your requirement you should change the capture part of vip_single_cam_object_detection2 use case.
Instead of capturing using VIP (HDMI input), you should use CAL capture.
You can refer to csi2_cal_sv_standalone for CAL capture portion.
