AM5728: PCIe question

i have a question on the the TI AM572x TRM does not have any explanation on how to use the iATU’s PCIECTRL_PL_IATU_* registers in order to perform address translations.

Any info on this would be great.

Hi, Mohsen,

The TRM documents the usage of each register in the bit field description. Taking IATU_INDEX register as an example, the bit fields tell you which direction and region it is for. If you want further info, the best way is to look at the example code to see how they were programmed in the example.

Thanks for the reply, can you be a little more specific? i could not find it in the RTOS sdk. Is it part of the PDK?

Hi Rex
i did find the code in the following directory

D:\ti\pdk_am57xx_1_0_7\packages\ti\drv\pcie\example\sample\src

but it still does not explain how the IATU works? It would be nice to get a simple example to show how it works than tracing through the code.

Mohsen,

You need to run the script pdkprojecctcreate.(bat/sh) to get the example projects populated. There should be a project folder with PCIE as part of the folder name.
