RTOS/TMS320C6748: rtos/TMS320C6748/NTP client

Sorry if this is posted to the wrong form. I'm looking for a NTP client for TI-RTOS on a 6748. I've found several references to network services, but haven't been able to find the software.

Hi Blair,

Processor-SDK RTOS NDK has available SNTP client. You can use MYTIME module. Documentation is available at:
software-dl.ti.com/.../index.html
If you use 'SNTP_start(MYTIME_gettime, MYTIME_settime, 0)' then the SNTP client will use the MYTIME module to track time.
You should be able to call MYTIME_gettime() to get the current time.

Thanks. I downloaded the files and had a look. Looks like the time synch is to the nearest second? I'm assuming if I want tighter than that I have to handle the lower 32 bits of the NTP server response by editing the code and recompiling? We are trying to synch to a milli-second or two off a local time server.

Blair,

The available implementation in Processor-SDK RTOS is not fully NTP capable but it is Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP). The expected accuracy in MYTIME module implementation is 1 second. Links below describes differences between NTP and SNTP:

If you need of full NTP or PTP you need to integrate custom implementation in RTOS.
