AM5716: About using PCIe in EP mode

Part Number: AM5716

Hi,

I have questions about PCIe for AM5716.
I would like to use PCIe in EP.

Q1: When AM5716 is used in EP, which pin of device should reset signal of PCIe?

Q2: When AM5716 is used in EP, Can I use ljcb_clkn/ljcb_clkp in the output REFCLK mode?

Best Regards,
H.U

I don't think there is dedicated AM571x PCIe pin for reset. You can reset AM571x PCIe module (and rest of the AM571x modules) through pins resetn and porz.

You can also transmit "hot reset" command over the PCIe link, thus generate local PCIe reset.

PCIe hot-reset condition - As defined by the PCIe standard: reset condition propagated in-band (over the PCIe wire) from an upstream port to a downstream port, using the TS1 and TS2 OS. For more details refer to AM571x TRM, section 24.9.4.4.2.2 PCIe Standard Specific Resets to the PCIe Core Logic

Yes, I think you can. Check also below e2e post:

In AM571x TRM, EP specific operations are marked as "EP only". And configuring ACSPCIE (ljcb_clk) is not marked as "EP only" or "RC only".
