CCS/TMS320DM8168: how do i apply video codec to the vpss is it require any memory?

Hi Sir/Madam

we are receiving vifeo input through VIN0 [ycbcr] 16-bit format,

1.to video input we want to apply video codec to this ycbcr?

2.is this require a memory space?

Hello,

What you mean that you want to apply codec to this ycbcr?
External decoder? Or you are searching for how to encode the video in h264/mpeg4 or else format?

(this is in case you are using ezsdk).
Note: if you are searching for h264enc/mpeg4enc or decode keep in mind that the TI encoders/decoders requires NV12 format so you must use some elements like NF to convert 422 to 420.
