Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C5515
Hello to every enegineer wearing out his own fingers on the TMS320 kit.
I would be happy to switch to a TMS320 + ATW310 solution to substute an existing application.
Although I am not familiar with TMS DSPs I got the TMS320C5515 figerprint development kit hoping this would offer a complete solution for developing and evaluating my application, I started looking inside the box but I need some directions to confirm what I understood at present:
1) to play around with the kit I need the CCS (code composer studio) that must be downloaded from ti website (the CD did not install it) . Does the program size limitations of the free CCS version apply to the needs of the TMS320C5515 figerprint development kit?
2) the TMS320C5515 figerprint development kit comprises pre compiled demo software for evaluating the fingerprint recognition both with optical and sweep sensors, right?
3) the TMS320C5515 figerprint development kit includes the source software for a simplified fingerprint recognition but only the source drivers for the optical sensors are provided, right?
4) I am not familiar with TMS dsp and from the datasheet I was unable to clearly identify the minimum sleep current that can be obtained having the clock switched off, the RTC running and the interrupt enabled. My application needs to go below 40uA of sleep current....Does anyone have any experience in this sense?
Thanks in advance.
