RTOS/AM5716: Can you please offer an example project of USB TMC device

Dear experts,

I am developing our product with AM5716 and TI_RTOS_SDK. I want to use the board as a USB TMC (Test and Measurement Class) device.

But the USB driver of RTOS only supports four USB class protocols: USB device Mass Storage Class, USB host Mass Storage Class, USB device Audio Class and USB generic bulk device class.

Can you please offer an example of USB TMC device?

Hi,

We don't have plan to develop USB TMC driver in Processor SDK RTOS. It is available inside Linux on AM57x, the Linux package can be downloaded from www.ti.com/.../processor-sdk-am57x.

Then,

include/linux/usb/tmc.h
drivers/usb/class/usbtmc.c

You may refer to Linux code how to do it in RTOS.

Thanks for your reply. I have to install AM57xx_Linux_SDK before I can see the documents, right?

I am sorry. I don't have to porting the Linux USB TMC driver to RTOS.
I can develop a USB RAW device with AM5716 board.
Do you have any USB RAW application demo with TI-RTOS USB LLD?

Sorry we don't have. All the RTOS USB has are: USB device Mass Storage Class, USB host Mass Storage Class, USB device Audio Class and USB generic bulk device class.

I understand.

But I find I have to modify the USB LLD if I want to realize another USB device class, rather than just modify the application.

The APIs in usb_drv.h seem not generic.

Could you please offer some reference documents of USB LLD? (The RTOS users' guide is just introduce how to run the demo project.)

So I can learn to modify and rebuild USB LLD.

Hi,

I understood the big effort to develop a USB driver that is not part of our current RTOS USB driver offering. The Linux USB has many community developers different USB classes are there already. But this is not the RTOS case, and we add them by the customer usage requirement. We have CDC and HID support in plan, but no TMC. The USB user guide is truly for application, how to testing. But we don't have any document how to develop a USB driver. Again, sorry for this!
