AM5728: Difference between XAM5728BABCXE and AM5728BABCXE

Part Number: AM5728

Hi Guys,

My customer is asking what the difference between the device on their eval board, XAM5728BABCXE, and the AM5728BABCXE. The X usually denotes pre-release, right?

They are going to build prototypes that are very closely based on the evm but want to make sure they know the difference in behavior if there is any.

Thanks,

Brian

  • Hi Brian,

    Yes, you are correct.

X - Experimental device that is not necessarily representative of the final device's electrical specifications and may not use production assembly flow.

null - production version of the silicon die that is fully qualified.

There is no other difference. For more info, check AM572x DM, section 9.1 Device Nomenclature

    Regards,
