Linux/DRA74: Linux: APPE 'per-channel EQ ' algorithm bug

In our system , VIS version " REL.VIS.01.50.23.01" , we have some test on APPE algorithm.We change Ch distribution from 5.1to 7.1(CHAN_CFG_8CHANNEL_SURROUND2). But in "per-channel EQ " test ; and two of eight CHs(Ls & Rb),the only fifth frequency band (about 512Hz ) , EQ don't work ,other bands are OK .Parameters we set on the RadioApp command line. I readback theparameter (I have writen) is OK by command line tool .

    Since the CHAN_CFG_8CHANNEL_SURROUND2 configuration is not a supported configuration on the Jacinto 6 + JAMR3 EVM (since that is limited to 6 outputs), can you first please share your additions that you made to create the CHAN_CFG_8CHANNEL_SURROUND2 configuration?

    Also, can you please provide recordings at the output (both digital output of APPE and analog output of your board) so that I can understand the behavior you are seeing.  Your description seems to indicate that all EQ_MULTI settings are getting properly set, but you are seeing that the analog output on Ls and Rb channels does not apply the 5th EQ band, correct?  If you can provide recordings, I think that would help us understand the issue better.

    I hope to look closer at this code over the next few days.  Is it possible to you to clean your build directories before generating the patch that you attach?  Your patch file includes all the automatically-generating files, which makes it more difficult for me to understand exactly which code you have modified.

    Also, just to confirm:  Is it only Channel 3 and Channel 5 that exhibit this behavior on your platform (and only for the 5th band on those channels)?  Do all the other bands on the other channels function correctly for you?

    I believe that you don't have any other algorithms in the playback pathway that should affect the audio signal, but please do confirm.

    In general, it is a good idea to just use the standard multichannel configurations ccSatToChanMap in app_ti.c.  Then, if you have specific channel order changes that need to be done, they can be done in the interleaving step in APPE_appeDataFormat() before it is sent to IOA (within the  AUDIO_FormatData() function).  I mention this because changing the ccSatToChanMap could cause some algorithms not to function correctly.

    I do not think the EQ_MULTI is one of these that should be affected though.  I have not yet found any reason in the code for the issue you are seeing; I will keep looking.

    When you changed the ccSatToChanMap back to its original content, are you seeing the issue on Channels 3 and 5 still?  Or did the issue still remain on Ls and Rb channels?
