Linux/AM5728: I2c GPIO UART interface in AM572x GPEVM

My team is working with the AM5728 General Purpose Evaluation Module, and using the Processor SDK for Linux for our embedded application development. One of our requirements is to connect I2C to multichannel ADC board  and  DAC BOARD.  but we could not find a way to extend the I2C to board.

we also need provide GPIO pins for digital control but there is no physical access to them

please provide a solution for above problems

  • Hi Pratik,

    You will need to add blue-wires to the EVM if you need to extend the functionality off-board.  The schematics and board files are on the product page to find the most accessible tap points (admittedly it will be challenging due to the dense placement and small SMT devices).

    A more elegant solution would be tapping into one of the four expansion headers on the processor board, or the camera header on the LCD board.  These all use the same mating connector (Hirose FX18‐60S‐0.8SV15).
