Linux/AM5728: dmtimer.c file is missing in latest kernel v4.14.79

I'm porting kernel from v4.9.41 to new version v4.14.79 for AM5728 processor. while doing this i have observe that dmtimer.c (arch/arm/plat-omap/dmtimer.c) file is missing in v4.14.79.

Is this file intentionally removed or no longer required?

I want to add a commit id "298fa91" on top of v4.14.79 kernel, for that it needs the dmtimer.c.

can any one help me out.

Hi Khaleel,

File "dmtimer.c" is moved out of plat-omap to drivers under clocksource. So that non-omap devices also could use this. No Code changes done to the driver file only renamed to timer-ti-dm.c.

You can fine the commit done this and read the description by executing the following command from kernel folder prompt:

git log -1 --stat  -- arch/arm/plat-omap/dmtimer.c
